Map Changes for 2010 and beyond


New State in India?

 

New transit line for Vancouver                                           

  - opened in August, 2009


















Proposed Purple Line would serve the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC.  The line would run from Bethesda to New Carrollton.





Michigan's attorney general has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to seal off the most direct routes from the Chicago River into Lake Michigan to keep Asian carp out of the Great Lakes.

Wow, I didn't know about any of these. And the India one is kind of a big deal.

Did you know that we have four colors of light rail now? Count 'em!

I heard about the Indian changes.The population size in that area is quite huge by global standards and would be a top 15 country in its own right I am led to believe.

Yes Andhra Pradesh is huge as an undivided state and maybe that's part of the problem. Still it's less than half the size of Uttar Pradesh.

@Michael - Are some of those lines new? I think I also saw a black line going south from Beaverton to somewhere - Bel Air?

Oh yeah, the line from Beaverton to Tualatin. That's not light rail -- it's HEAVY rail!
